Ph.D. (Mathematics)

The PhD in Mathematics at NMIMS NSoMASA is designed for scholars interested in pursuing advanced research in pure and applied mathematics. The program offers deep theoretical exploration alongside computational and applied research, preparing students for academic and industry roles.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics from a recognized university.
• Have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade.
• Must qualify in any of the following:
• NMIMS PhD entrance test
• NET / SET / GATE / JRF examination (Valid score required)
• Candidates qualifying in NET / SET / GATE / JRF are exempted from the NMIMS entrance test but must appear for a personal interview.

Duration & Intake

• Duration: Minimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years, including coursework.
• Intake: 10 Seats.
