Further strengthening our position, our M.Sc. (Statistics & Data Science) program has been ranked 2nd among the top postgraduate data science courses in India (2022) by the same authority, highlighting the program’s excellence in curriculum, faculty, and outcomes.
Continuing this momentum, our M.Sc. Applied Statistics & Analytics program secured the 2nd position among top PG Data Science programs in 2023, reaffirming our consistent performance and leadership in analytics education.

- Ms. Sayali Mahurkar, a student of M.Sc. Statistics & Data Science, secured third place in the Research Poster Competition in the field of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, conducted on 3rd March 2025 by Dr. Homi Bhabha State University’s Institute of Science.
- A team comprising Rahul Phatak (M.Sc. ASA), Nitin Madas (M.Sc. SDS), and Aniruddha Shelke (M.Sc. SDS) secured third place at the "DecodeX Hackathon” organized by NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research.
- Chinmay Shinde and Shreya Nadkarni (2024) published a research paper titled "The Impact of Intention and Use Behavior on Public Transport Adoption” in Library Progress International, Vol. 44(4), pp. 641–651.
- Nandini Jagannarayan, Chinmay Shinde, and Dr. R. Uma (2025) published "Socio-Economic Determinants of Health and Discretionary Expenditures in an Industrialized Economy: A Case Study of Tiruppur” in the Journal of Informatics Education and Research, Vol. 5(1), pp. 1782–1794.
- Rhydhun Wate and Simran Chikkala of TY B.Sc. Data Science secured first place at the Case Study Conference on the theme Data Warehousing, Big Data Analytics, and Data Mining. The event was organized by Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (VSIT) and held on 21st September 2024.
- Sahil Tanna, Kumar Nikunj Sinha, and Tayyab Khan secured 3rd place globally at the "MCP’s 1st Birthday” Hackathon, an international competition hosted by Anthropic and Gradio. Their project, Director’s Cut, was recognized for its innovation, technical depth, and practical application among global participants.
- Kavish Jain and Abhishek Ranganath (TY B.Sc. ASA, NSOMASA) presented their research on bariatric surgery cost-effectiveness at the Indian Management Research Conference 2025 organized by Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (5–7 December 2025).
- Diya Agrawal and Abhigya Singh Bist (TY B.Sc. ASA, NSOMASA) presented their research on ESG performance of India’s NPS at the 10th Pan-IIM World Management Conference 2025 organized by Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (27–29 November 2025).
